Uganda — Living jungle, gorillas and savanna (10 days)

Kampala/Entebbe · Kibale (chimpanzees) · Queen Elizabeth or Murchison (safaris & river) · Bwindi (gorillas) · Lake Bunyonyi
Tailor-made group trip · max. 12 people · charming lodges · Spanish-speaking coordinator

Summary

A journey that touches you deeply: face-to-face encounters with mountain gorillas , a vibrant rainforest, chimpanzees roaming free , and river safaris among hippos and elephants, with the possibility of spotting big cats. Uganda offers unparalleled excitement without the crowds: unforgettable glances, rivers that tell their stories, and people who welcome you like family. Small groups, a relaxed pace , and close coordination ensure you experience every moment stress-free.

What you're going to experience (in detail)

  • Mountain Gorillas (Bwindi/Mgahinga Park)
A day of controlled tracking with expert rangers and small groups. The encounter is brief (approximately 1 hour), intense, and deeply respectful: distance, clear rules, and ethics come first. It's a life-changing experience.

  • Chimpanzees in their habitat (Kibale or alternative forest)
Walking among vines and giant ficus trees, calls in the treetops, and that mixture of nerves and joy when you see them move freely.

  • Savannah and River Safaris
Depending on the tour, we explore Murchison Falls (Victoria Nile and its waterfall) or Queen Elizabeth (Kazinga Channel, herds on the riverbank, and Ishasha with the possibility of seeing tree-climbing lions ). We combine 4x4 excursions at sunrise/sunset with boat trips to view wildlife from the water.

  • Landscapes and tranquility
Tea hills and banana plantations, tranquil villages, and Lake Bunyonyi to unwind amidst islands and birds. Sunsets that invite you to pause and celebrate.

  • Local culture
Respectful visits to local communities (crafts, music, agriculture), learning without intruding. Simple and delicious cuisine: local stews, sweet fruits, and single-origin coffee.

Lodges and style

We stayed in charming lodges, perfectly situated for each activity: close to jungle access points and wildlife areas, with great views, hot showers, and delicious dinners at the end of the day. This isn't ostentatious luxury travel; it's honest comfort where it matters: location, service, and rest.

Rhythm and logistics

  • Small group (max. 12) with Spanish-speaking coordinator and local guides/rangers.

  • Transfers in private vehicle; we combine 4x4 safaris , boat trips and jungle walks .

  • Physical level: Gorilla tracking can be moderate (2–6 hours, wet/sloping terrain). For chimpanzees, it's similar but easier; we'll prepare you to fully enjoy it.

  • Order adaptable to weather, permits and park conditions, without losing the essence .

Why this edition

  • Limited permits for gorillas and chimpanzees: allocated on a first-come, first-served basis .

  • A route designed to experience jungle and savanna without rushing, allowing time to integrate the experience.

  • Ethical and realistic approach: responsible observation, support for local projects and zero zoo.
