India — Golden Triangle and Sacred Routes (15 days)
Delhi • Jaisalmer • Jodhpur • Pushkar • Jaipur • Agra • Varanasi
Tailor-made group trip · max. 12 people · heritage/boutique hotels
Summary
The India you imagine… and the one you didn't know you needed. Dunes beneath vast skies , palaces that still whisper stories, bazaars where color seems to have a voice, and ghats where life and death coexist with a disarming serenity. This journey combines the magic of Rajasthan with a spiritual finale on the banks of the Ganges . It's intense, beautiful, and designed to be savored at a leisurely pace : moments of silence, time for photos, steaming chai in a clay cup, and sunsets that stay with you.
What you're going to experience
Delhi, the gateway to India.
A pleasant clash to sharpen the senses: Old Delhi with its alleyways, spices, and rickshaws , and the newer part with its avenues, architecture, and recent history. A first taste of northern cuisine (parathas, kebabs, lassi).
Jaisalmer — the Golden City
The fortress lights up at sunset, and the carved havelis look like lace in stone. In the Sam Desert , we set off by jeep (and for those who want, a stretch by camel ) to sleep or have dinner under a dazzling sky of stars . A campfire, silence, and that clean desert chill that reminds you where you are.
Jodhpur — the Blue City
Mehrangarh Fort overlooks a sea of indigo houses. We descend into the labyrinth of alleyways , artisan workshops, and stepwells; daily life here is pure theater. A rooftop with views and a quiet dinner while the mosques call to prayer and the fort lights up.
Pushkar — sacred lake and handicrafts
A peaceful respite: ghats at sunset, offerings, temples, and markets with textiles, silver, and leather. Breathe, converse, learn the meaning of the rituals, and let the journey slow down.
Jaipur — the pink city
Amber Fort perched high above, the Hawa Mahal like a delicate filigree, and the vibrant energy of the bazaars . Experience block printing (traditional textile printing) and a touch of glamour in a palace/haveli converted into a hotel. Jaipur is color with elegance.
Agra — the Taj Mahal and Mughal power
The Taj Mahal at dawn : the marble changes color and, for a while, everything falls silent. Red Fort to understand the history behind it. It's a day that justifies the trip on its own.
Varanasi — Ganges, ghats and eternity
A boat ride at dawn when the river becomes a mirror and the city awakens with mantras, ablutions, and tea. At dusk, Ganga Aarti : lamps, chants, and an ancient calm that washes over you. A stroll through alleyways, temples, and everyday life. Here, India feels very close.
Hotels and dining (yes, it matters)
We stayed in heritage/boutique hotels with character: restored havelis , small palaces, a comfortable desert camp, and hotels with patios and terraces to watch the sunset. Food is an integral part of the trip: a variety of thalis , street chaat from trusted vendors, freshly baked breads (naan, roti), crispy jalebi , fragrant masalas, and, of course, chai at all hours. We selected excellent and safe places , always with vegetarian options.
